Subject: My Child dolls by Mattel

:)Anyone remember the My Child dolls that came out by Mattel? Been lookin' round the internet and it seems that some are worth quite alot of money. I had one when I was little. She was my favorite doll. Her name was Sarah - after my best friend.

Just wonderin' though?!?!

Did they have fuzzy-type material instead of smooth plastic, big eyes, "real"-type hair, and come in surprisingly diverse shades of skin, eye (and hair) color?

I agree! You would think with all the emphasis on diversity these days that they would come out with something similar again. Maybe they'll revive them like Strawberry Shortcake or Rainbow Brite. Speaking of which, excellent choice of pics, if I do say so myself! ;)

I agree about the pics :)  I also read somewhere on the internet today that they were coming out with them again. That would be wonderful as it is very hard to get the older ones. The prices can get steep.

You said they were worth some money... How much are the old ones going for?

I'm on EBay now and there are a few there going for $50, $60 & $70.    That's a little too much for me right now anyways :-/
