You can't beat the timeless Flat Top, with plenty of Butch Wax propping up the front.
Kevin Bacon had that style for years.

That's me, the old Flat Top. I like it short, wash and wear. Just a little gel. David Gahan had the best '80s flat top. Emilio Estevez had a cool style in Repo Man. I settled on the flat top after I got burned out on the wild bleached spiky styles. It's been over 15 years now! You'd think the flat top would be easy, but not just any barber knows how to do it. I had this old Greek guy doing it for years, but then he retired and went back to Athens. I still go to the same Greek barber shop in Harvard Square. Michael Dukakis used to get his hair cut there when he was governor. I think he still does. Anyway, my current barber isn't Greek, he's Mexican....working at the Greek barber shop!
What I liked about the flat top was it could be both conservative and punky at the same time. Now I wear 'coz I like it, couldn't give a d*mn what anybody else thinks!

Heh heh... That reminds me of an employee at work who tried to impress me (and who wanted special treatment) with the fact that "I get my hair cut at the same place as the President of the company".
I said "Well, if you are getting your hair cut at the same place as him, that ain't nothing to brag about. He looks like a gardener cut his hair with a weed whacker."
A week later I related the story to the President who laughed and said "I thought that guy was a jerk off anyway".
