Subject: Make a movie about the 80s

Written By: stingr22 on 02/23/04 at 10:05 p.m.

This should be fun!  Say that we made a movie about teenage life in the 80s.  We first kidnap John Hughes and then we get some of today's young stars.  Who would they be and which parts would they play?

Frankie Muniz could play the geek part (Anthony Michael Hall's roles)

Chris Klein (American Pie) could be the good (but troubled)jock in the movie and Katie Holmes could be the pretty-but-doesn't-know-it-yet girl (ala Alley Sheedy in Breakfast Club).
Elijah Wood would be the sweet faced boy. (ala Andrew McCarthy)

Jessica Simpson can play the "cheerleader" aka Popular Girl (Alise in "Lucas" or Carolyn in "16 Candles")

Vince Vaughn as the weirded out father.
I agree with Joan Cusack as the mom.
Jack Black as the overaged high-school bully.
Will Farrell as the over the top gym teacher.
And Morgan Fairchild as the Principal that sleeps with her students.

If they did a remake of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the perfect choice for the role of Jeff Spacoli (or is it Spicoli?) would definitely have to be that hottie from the new Starsky & Hutch film, Owen Wilson.  :D
