One of my childhood friends had one of their albums, and we use to dance around to it in her basement. I thought they were the coolest group.  :-/

Yes, do remember this programme - for all the wrong reasons...

It was one of Channel Four's earliest commissions - the idea was to take a handful of kids (aged 7-11), dress 'em up as the hottest pop stars of the day (Bananarama, Madonna, et al) and let them loose singing said artists' songs...

All very sweet - but after several months, the public began to complain that the kids were, shall we say, dressed (or not-so-dressed) up in a very adult-type fashion...

The programme, it was claimed, was also starting to attract a certain 'audience' - with scantily clad pre-teen cherubs prancing all over the screen, it didn't take much working out what sort of 'audience' it was...

After a couple of series, the show vanished from our screens - the only showings it gets now is via short clips on 'TV Hell' compilation shows...

Definitely one for the dustbin...
