Pat Robertson is the anti-christ.  He worships Mammon, the money god, via a false front of Christianity.  Investigative reporter Greg Palast traveled with him.  According to Palast, he never saw Robertson pray off camera, EXCEPT ONCE.  This was when they were flying to Africa to visit Robertson's diamond mines.  He asked everybody on his private jet to pray with him--for diamonds.
Like Jerry Falwell, Robertson is nothing but a stalking horse for big business and Pentagon interests.  He poisons millions of minds with bigotry and antinomianism.
In the '80s, he and Falwell were instrumental in undermining Jim and Tammy Bakker.  I was no fan of the Bakkers, but they were innocuous compared to Falwell, Robertson, and Swaggart.  None of the people who invested in Heritage USA were complaining.  I think televangelism had gotten to big for its britches by 1986 and the industry needed a scapegoat to take the pressure off.  Jim Bakker was the perfect fallguy.  The nefarious and shameless "700 Club" is still going strong.

Personally I feel he shares that title with George W. Bush.

It pretty much means that he feels he's above the laws of the land because he believes in G-D.

It's what makes (some) Christians think that it's OK to kill abortion doctors. They think that the murder is justified in the eyes of their G-D and they shouldn't be punished by the laws of the land because they feel they're doing "G-D's work".

Don't forget his business dealings with Liberian dictator and indicted war criminal Charles Taylor.

Thanks, Zed.
Derives from Greek: Anti=against, Nomos=law, hence antinomian.  An antinomian believes Christians are freed from moral law by virtue of grace set forth in the Gospel.
Whereas Robertson doesn't preach your literal immunity from the wages of sin once you've accepted Christ as your savior, he does play on an insidious theme common to Christian fundamentalism.
The fundamentalists preach all that matters for your salvation is your acceptance of JC as your personal Lord and savior.  Fundamentalism is your ticket of "good works" duty.  If you're rich, don't worry about giving to the poor.  No need to help the handicapped, no need to donate to the canned food drive, and stuff like that.
What about Matthew 19:24?  The Gospel says it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.  This verse is misunderstood.  The "Eye of the Needle," in Biblical times, was a very narrow passage into the city of Jerusalem, according to Pat Robertson.  Do you see?
Lyricsboy, Robertson considered Liberia's Charles Taylor to be a good Christian man!
