Subject: Any 80's bands/members you listen to all the time?
For the past year I haven't been able to stop playing David Sylvian (Japan).
Even though I've been listening to his music for decades(!), for some reason I'm totally hooked on his solo work this past year. I probably listen to him anywhere from 3-5 days out of the week! :o

I listen to all those bands fairly regularly except LAR, I just don't find myself playing them any more!
I did pick up Cave's "Nocturama" a few months ago. A bit of a disappointment I say.

I have a Cure b-sides bootleg CD covering 87-92. What's on "Join the Dots" ? I'd like to get some of the earier rare b-sides at some point, but it's not a big priority.

I've been on a severe Smiths kick for about the last 3 months and just picked up Morrissey's Suedehead and have been listening to it over and over and over....
I also can't get enough of Husker Du's Candy Apple Grey and Warehouse Songs and Stories!

Is that the "Standing On the Beach: The B Sides" containing the song "A Few Hours After This?" I haver never been able to find it on CD and was of the understanding that it was only ever released on cassette. Oops, I guess that probably released before '87.

Back to the topic:
XTC (almost daily)
The The
The Smiths...
Hell, I still keep my giant wooden box of cassettes next to my desk and rig up the Walkman to the computer every once and awhile.

I like your Human League graphic. My favorite song on that EP is "Mirror Man." My favorite Berlin song is "The Metro." I don't like "Sex (I'm a...)," it's a silly thing. She can transform into all these wonderful personas, and all he can say is "I'm a man!" :P I used to sing along with it, "Ed McMahon." LOL!

Funny, the only teenage guys I knew in the '80s who had both Depeche Mode AND Human League posters were me and Wyatt, from "Weird Science." LOL!

Actually, I just burned my cassette B-Side of "Standing on the Beach" onto CD. Sounds surprisingly good!
The bootleg I have is called "The Complete B-Sides Collection 1987-1992" It has such great songs as "Breathe," "Snow in Summer," "Sugar Girl," "Fear of Ghosts," "Babble," and "Harold and Joe." It also has their DUMB covers of "Purple Haze," and "Hello I Love You," but these do not interfere too badly wit proceedings. With the Cure, there are always more rarities to collect, but I'm not that fanatical. "A Few Hours After This" is one of my all-time favorites!

I can't help it, I'm so stuck in the 80's.
I just can't get enough of Journey and Steve Perry. I'm helpless, he's got my 'Foolish Heart'! ::)
