Subject: DM

OK, this bugs me.  The DM logo for the new Dennis Miller show resembles some of the '80s DM logos for Depeche Mode.  And I HATE Dennis Miller!!  How dare he sully the image of a great band in its prime!

I think it is his satirical self who cares nothing for the initials of any other entity other than "himself". So, it is little wonder that he would do such  a thing. I don't watch him as a rule so yea, you have my vote on him being a little annoying, but didn't he get you to look at his ad with the logo that looked simiilar?  Someone on his ad campaign was thinking of our/your demographic.   And they caught you!

I'd be surprised if Miller was thinking if Depeche Mode, or if he even had a hand in the logo design.  Free association for me says DM=Depeche Mode, and the logo does look similar.

Remember when Dennis Miller had his talk show on HBO in the mid-90's? His theme musis for that show was "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. Whenever he's win an Emmy for that show, they'd always play a Muzak version of that song on the Emmy telecast.
