PURELY '80s SITCOMS
Night Court
Cheers
Family Ties
Perfect Strangers
Square Pegs
:D :D :D

Sitcoms started in the '70s,
continued in the '80s (including spinoffs)

All in the Family/Archie Bunker's Place
Taxi
Three's Company/Three's A Crowd

Special mention:
M*A*S*H
MASH folded in 1982, though I recognise MASH as one of the best written sitcoms ever, with some of the best acting talent, I was personally lukewarm on it. Guess it just wasn't my thing. ;D

I loved The Wonder Years.  No laugh track needed.  Sentimental TV moments usually make me wanna woof my cookies, but Wonder Years always played them well.  I don't think of Wonder Years as an '80s show, more of a '80s-'90s transition.

That's quite funny, I felt the same way about Mash. I acknowledged it was clever. Maybe it was because it was played a little too straight perhaps.

I love The Cosby Show and Married with Children (which at least started in the 80s) but purely 80s sitcoms for me were Perfect Strangers (which I remember loving at a very early age) and Only Fools and Horses - O.k we still get special episodes but I think the last proper series occurred in 1989.
