Subject: Can anyone help me w/ the name of an 80's group??
There's this video from the 80's that I recall seeing on VH1 a couple of years ago... it had a young girl with 2 guys walking in circles around a piano, the girl had LOTS of makeup on. They had something or another that they were using to beat on the piano in rhythm to the song. It may sound like a silly question but a friend of mine and I have been wondering who made this video for some time now. I just found this message board while doing a search for it :D

Art of NoiseClose(To the Edit)
Strange video. I 'm sure it's supposed to mean something. Anyway, that "Hey" you hear is sampled on that Prodigy song,
Firestarter.

ahhh_stick_em is right! It is indeed Art Of Noise and the song is called "Close (To The Edit)". If memory serves, the song came out around 1984. :)

The song didn't get big in the States until '86. I was just listening to Art of Noise the other day. I liked them but there was always something lacking in the music. It was too novelty-sounding, too light weight. Anne Dudley now composes "classical" music. It's not too bad, but she ain't no Beethoven!
Anne Dudley also co-wrote one of my favorite ABC songs, "4ever 2gether," from "Lexicon of Love," and cofounded ZTT Records.
The latest Art of Noise from a few years ago, "The Seduction of Claude Debussy" is a cool ambient album, with narration by that great English actor, John Hurt.
