Subject: Re-issuing TV/Movie Soundtracks
How many people here would like to see all the original sountracks re-released? Even if there weren't enough songs in the movie/TV show itself, you'd like to see those songs on CD at some point?
If so, which ones would you like to see? My choices would be:
Biggles
American Anthem
Short Circuit
Transformers - The Movie
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the first movie)
-
Biggles had great songs on it. Some are available on their artists' albums, such as Deep Purple, and Motley Crue. The theme song by Jon Anderson, "Do you want to be a hero" can be downloaded. As for the rest of the songs, they are extremely hard to find.
American Anthem had some good songs on it. My favourite being INXS's "Same Direction", which is from an album. The rest might be a bit rarer.
Short Circuit songs are hard to come by. You can download DeBarge's "Who's Johnny?", but a few of the others are hard to get (not counting the Bee Gees songs).
Transformers music from the movie can be downloaded, but I don't know if it's all of them.
And there's the Ninja Turtles. It took me ages to track down Hi Tek 3's "Spin that wheel". But the rest of the soundtrack is almost impossible. Especially "Splinter's Tale".

Ooh, another soundtrack I'd love to see re-released is Iron Eagle. Some good songs on that.

American Anthem was a good soundtrack! I would like to see that one re-released. Another one I would like to see is "Last American Virgin."
Also, there should be a boxed set of all music from John Hughes movies, including the ones that didn't make the soundtrack albums, like the Rave Ups singing "Rave Up Shut Up" and "Positively Lost Me" in "Pretty In Pink". I don't know if Hughes himself picked the music for his movies or not, but the songs in those movies (Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Some Kind Of Wonderful) were all excellent!
