Subject: Beru Revue

In response to pennsygirl's inquiry about 80's Philly Bands, Beru Revue was the BEST live! I must have seen 50 shows or more at places like 23 East, Ambler Cabaret, Chesnut Cabaret, Red Garter in Clifton Hts., Rose Tree Park in Media, Central Park in Wayne, and Empire Rock club in NOrtheast. Just a fabulous band! Maybe someday they will get back together!

Mike,
Beru was planning a reunion concert for the past November. Unfortunately, the bass player John Sacks developed colon cancer. He is undergoing treatment right now in Florida. They are hoping to get back together possibly sometime this year depending on how John is doing. Actually, there was supposed to be a '80's Philly reunion concert last November, with Hazard, the Hooters, the A's and Beru. Philly DJ Pierre Robert was trying to put that together, but with John's illness, and the other bands acting like jerks (the A's aren't even speaking to each other), that show had to be scrapped.
