Hey,
Anyone remember when Jane Leeves from 'Frasier' played a bad girl on Y&R in the 80s?
I believe she was a British rock-manager working for Danny and she tried to come between Cricket and Danny when he was a big pop star.

no I don't, but I DO remember her on a short lived 80's sitcom called "Throb", she worked at a record company and was supposed to be kind of wild. On one show her character was worried about having AIDS because she had a lot of rocker lovers in the past. It was rare then for a tv show to address AIDS, so it stands out.

When was this? What was her character's name? I used to watch Y&R religiously. :)

Yes, she was one of "Hill's Angels." Ah, Benny, you were such a dirty old man, and we miss you so!
The first thing I saw her in was Monty Python's "Meaning of Life," though I didn't know I was seeing her. She was one of the dancers in the grande finale, "It's Christmas in Heaven."
I remember her pre-Frasier as a recurring character on Seinfeld, Marla Penny, the virgin.
Ever seen Kelsey Grammer interviewed? He is exactly like his character, Frasier Crane--a pompous a*s! Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Frasier fan, but Kelsey Grammar--sheesh!! :P

I don't know why he's pompous, he's past is not exactly "uppity", he was on drugs, in jail and dating strippers during his time on "Cheers" before he cleaned up his act.

It's hard to feel sorry for Kelsey Grammer now, but he did go through some tough times in the past. There was the drugs, the booze, and the drunk driving. In the '70s his kid sister, then 18, was kidnapped and murdered by some thugs. That can't have helped.
I found KG's personality a bit off-putting. I'm also politically biased, I must admit, because he leans to the right in his views.
As for pomposity, you can be pompous no matter what your station in life is. It's just a form of insecurity.
Anyway, I continue to enjoy Frasier reruns! :)
