Subject: help! loafers with bottle tops attatched
Can anyone tell me (I was born in 1968 and don't know what the hell my friend is talking about)
She says in the 1980's a soft loafer type shoe was popular with young teens and I have to name the shoe and the brand of beer bottle tops that were tied onto the laces, I remember bros/doc martins and grolsch but have no recollection of loafers with beer bottle tops ???

I have no idea about the beer caps, never saw that, but the shoes were called dock siders, i was born in '76 and when they were popular near me people didn't tie them, they would do like a sailors knot or something to the end of each shoelace so they wouldn't flop. hope this helped!

Apparantly they were called pods and the bottle tops were indeed grolsch tops! I have found this out since I posted the question, thanks for your answer anyway x ;D
