I believe the Chameleons to be the best band of the 80's

I wouldn't say THE best, but damned good. Yes, damned good indeed! My favorite Chameleons album is "Script of the Bridge," very lovley and compelling. U2 without the God complex.

I agree also, Script of the Bridge is there best Album. I saw them live in Glasgow and they were quite amazing. If the Chameleons are not the best band of the 80's then who?
Certainly not U2. The clash come close, The Coctaeu Twins come close and The Fall come close. No, I can not think of another Band. Sorry its the Chameleons, or Ivor Cutler.
