Does anyone remember a 1980 kids tv programme in the australian outback that started off with a real life kangaroo that then became animated but still against a real back ground. I also had a koala a platypus and a little girl. Can't for the life of me thing of the name!

dot and the kangaroo? something like that there was a song in he feature length version about ingenuity "with chewing gum and bits of wire you can st the whole world on fire "or something like that.thats what i remember anyway :)

No, Rocko's Modern Life is from the 90's.

I forget the exact name, but for some reason I'm thinking of a cartoon called "Blinky the Wombat" or something. He had his Outback animal friends and their nemisis were the dingos. That's all I can remember. The show hasn't been on TV for years. Don't think it's the show your looking for though... :-/

Its Deffinatly Dot and the kangaroo. They also had dot and keeto(the mosquito), Dot and santa clause, dot and joey, dot and the whale and others.
