Subject: Bruce Willis song from 80's?

Written By: britomart on 10/25/03 at 06:05 p.m.

I am trying to find info. on a "song" that Bruce Willis did in the 80's.  It wasn't an actual song, but it played on the radio, and it had something to do with him going through a drive-thru restaurant and ordering a burger and fries.  Does anyone remember this?  Maybe it was another actor, but I'm pretty sure it was Bruce Willis.

It was by Bruce Willis.

The song you are thinking of is "Comming Right Up", from the album "The Return Of Bruno"

Sorry Mr. 80s, but "Comming Right Up", was never a hit.  The only commercial hit from that album was "Respect Yourself."

he did a cover of "respect yourself",  which was ironic because clearly he did not.

I never said that song was a hit, I simply said that "Comming Right Up" was the song that the person was looking for.  :)

Personally, he was a pretty good singer I thought, and as he himself said, he was proudest that he did his own harmonica playing on the album.  :)

I think that most people now are so used to highly synthicized music and tons of studio effects, that they forget (or have no idea to begin with) how rough club blues sounds like.  That was the effect he was after, and he achieved it very well.  Listen to some songs by Big Momma THornton or Muddy Waters, and you will see what I mean.
