ok when i was growing up, my oldest sister had this game/toy and i don't know what it was called. i want to see if anyone can help me come up with them name it. ok let me try to descibe what it looks like. it was this little wheel on a wire. you were suppose to make the wheel go up and down back and forth on this wire thing with out letting the wheel fall off. i know thats not a great description but thats all i remember.does anyone have any idea what i am talking about. and if so can you tell me the name of this toy.

It seems to me you are talking about a "Whee-lo".
I remember this very fondly, having had a few of them myself. Basically it was one of those "educational toys" that showed kids the wonders of magnets and gyroscopes without them even knowing they were learning.
The wheel was basically an open gyroscope, with magnets at each end. You had thus U shaped wire handle, which the wheel held onto through the magnets. Through flexing your wrist, you could make the wheel spin back and forth. With enough practice, you could get some pretty amazing speeds, then you could do tricks with it.
This toy actually dates back to the 1950's, but has been "rediscovered" several times over the decades. I hope this is what you were looking for. :)
