i also love 'love and rockets' and 'sisters of mercy' but they were goth, a sub-genre of new wave.

Love And Rockets were goth?? I would think that Bauhaus, one of their predecessors, were more goth than them. :)

i know love and rockets were more commercial, but some of there songs couldn't escape there "dark" roots. tones on tail were definitly goth.

Talking Heads and The Cars were excellent bands. I also like The Thompson Twins - especially the song 'Hold me now'.
