;D  HI, I am looking for the title of an 80's  movie that used the Communards song "tell me Why"? or just "why" (cant remember, to lazy to dig out my album.) It was at the end of the movie, the last scene was a beach scene in L.A. (where else of course) and as another clue,  the actor in this scene also played this psycho on The Young and the Restless. He was befriended by Danny and Cricket and had a thing for Nina. It is not the guy who played Chase.  Hope these clues help and thanks in advance for your replies.

Could you please clarify whether the song was by Bronski Beat or The Communards? If it's Bronski Beat, the song is called "Why." If it's The Communards, it's most probably "Never Can Say Goodbye." Also, can you tell me the name of the guy from Y&R who was in the film or the character he played on Y&R? There were a few weirdos after Nina, weren't there? :D

sorry It is the Bronski Beat and "why" , the extended version specifically. Any way the pieces are coming together, I found a Y&R website and nailed down the story line which made a list of favorites by fans. It was when, Shawn Garrett,played by Grant Kramer ,kidnapped Lauren Fenmore and the chase ensues.  Now I will go to www.IMDB.com and see what Mr. Kramer was up to inthe80's !  Any one remember this story? ;D

I'll answer my own question this time I guess. the Movie is "Hardbodies", 1984.  sorry its Cramer with  a "C" not a "k". So I really don't want to watch the movie, but may have to rent it and fast forward to the end to see if my memory served me.

Well, I'm glad you were able to figure it out for yourself. Sorry I couldn't help you! :D Anyway, I don't remember any character called Shawn Garrett on Y&R, nor the storyline you mentioned. If it was from around when the film Hardbodies was out (1984) then I wouldn't have seen it. I started watching it in 1987. :)

yeah, He was on Y&R in 1984, It was not a super long story line, and I don't remember how they dumped him, But it was an engaging story line.  :o
