Subject: Can you ID this song ???
Not sure if anyone can help with this one or not, its a toughie. I am looking for the name of a song and the band that did it. The main line was "Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?" The song was something about a guy telling his wife and kid to hide in the cellar until he gets to them in time. It was a rather strange song. Used to be played all the time in the early 80's and then it completely disappeared and I have never heard it since.

I believe the song is done by Mike and the mechanics, but I cant be positive and I don't know the name of it.

It is Mike and the Mechanics its called "Silent Running" it was released in 1985 on thier self titled debut album Mike and the Mechanics. which is still in print.

Thanks Loren. That was a fast answer to my question. I have been trying to figure it out for years with little luck. But no wonder, the title is nothing close to the lines of the song.

If you've seen the video, it's even stranger. It looks like it was supposed to be a soundtrack video from a bad 80's scifi movie.
