Subject: Hall & Oates - One on one
I read or heard somewhere that 'One on one' is not an original Hall & Oates song. It had been recorded before by someone else. Couldn't find the answer via Google. Any help?

Well paultx - I'm no expert on the duo, but the song is all Daryl Hall's own work - so it says on my copy...so I would logically assume he wrote it for himself and John...unless, of course, someone knows different...

One on one should have been originally written by Daril.

Daryl did write it. No one else did it first.

Daryl did write it and I heard him say in an interview once that he felt his voice sounded better on that song than any song he had ever sung.
