Subject: does anyone know this song?

i've been looking for a song i first heard on puttin on the hits. most of the song sounds like a news report about vietnam, with the chorus saying s-s-s-sia-gon, or something like that. i don't know what the name or artist is and it's driving me nuts, please help

??? It rings a bell, but I can't bring you any closer to a title or artist :-[ Do they also say soemthing to the effect of "the average age was 19"???

I'm almost positve the song is called "19"... by Paul Hardcastle.

It is definitely "19" by Paul Hardcastle, KC time machine. A UK number 1 from 1985. The song contained lots of voice samples, including the "S-s-s-s-Saigon" bit you refer to. It was all about the Vietnam war, where the average age of US combat soldiers was, apparently, 19.
