Subject: "Teenagers don't change, you did"
"Kids don't change, you're the one that changed" (or something like that)
This is what the wise school janitor told the principal in The Breakfast Club.
"Come on, what would you think of yourself if you were a 16 year old kid?"----school janitor to principal
I think John Hughes hit on something when he wrote this scene back in 1984. The principal felt that his Brat Pack kids of Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, and Anthony Michael Hall were the worst kids ever. The wise school janitor insisted that kids didn't change, but rather he was the one that changed. Often times I hear about people complaining about the teenagers around today, and I think back to this scene from The Breakfast Club. A scene that was written back in 1983 or 1984 mind you.
Whenever we need the answers to life, we can count on John Hughes.
Do you agree with Mr. Hughes?

What's even weirder to think is that people who were born in 1983 or 1984 are pretty much out of their teens themselves.
I'm 17 years old, and I feel a definite rush to grow up and be in my 20's. When I see 13 or 12-year olds, I just feel like,"Gawd, was I ever that young?"
There are some things that I'll miss about being a teenager, but on the other hand I can't wait to be an adult.

^Enjoy your age now while you can. Make the most of it, and live in the now. It all goes by so fast.
Time will not move at the incredibly slow pace you have been used to all your life. You're about 17 or 18 right? For the longest time, 1 year felt like an eternity right? At your age, 5 ago years is a really long time back right? Well, now the years will start moving by at supersonic speed. You have to live it to totally understand how bizzare it is.
Trust me, I remember being your age back in 1993 like it was yesterday. So just enjoy life now, and don't be in a rush to be an adult.

Seriously - I know exactly what you mean. I'm 18 and I see school kids around and think, my god, was I ever like that? And when I'm on my driving lessons and they're all around you just think, 'school kids are annoying' when they walk in the middle of roads n stuff! But then you just think, 2 years ago, I was in school. It's weird.
I'm kinda happy now I'm 18, beacuse it's a good age to be. I can drink, go out and do pretty much what I want, within reason. I don't want to get older yet at the same time I want to move on with my life. It is all really strange in a way.
