i got this song in my head
i like this early 80's rock...though die hard genesis fans hate the way genesis sold out in later years.
not me.
well, i didn't like Invisible Touch, i liked a lot of the rest of that album, but the title track was just pop fluff...

Genesis should make a new album with Phil Collins again...and Peter Gabriel
The album with Mama on it shoulda been called MAMA
and not simply Genesis...just my opinion, dig?
Man on the Corner, In The Air Tonight...these songs give me a very cool early 80's vibe that i like
a laurie anderson concert i saw on TV gave me the same vibe...where she wears a white suit and a tie...
But who else likes Genesis?

Yeah Genesis were good but I don't know much about the period of time Peter Gabriel was with them. I know he was quite eccentric and dressed in elaborate costumes and make-up.
I like 'Invisible touch', 'Follow you, follow me','Land of confusion' and 'That's all'. :D
I am a huge Phil Collins fan and love 'Two hearts','Easy lover','Something happened on the way to heaven','Everyday','Sussudio','One more night' and 'Take me home'. ;D

I love Genesis! My favorite song is probably "That's All" but it's pretty hard to choose my favorite. There are so many good ones. "Land of Confusion", "Abacab", and "Misunderstanding" are some other favorites.
But I hate the song "Mama". :P

Genesis Rules! I don't think they became synonymous with cheezy love ballads until Phil Collins' solo career really took off in the mid/late 80's. Before then, they were, and still are, awesome!
I just recently got into the early stuff with Peter Gabriel. They had a very distinct sound then, and their stuff was a lot more avant-garde and experimental. Then, their late 70's/early 80's stuff when Phil took over as singer was great stuff. In fact, my wedding song was "Follow You, Follow Me", and I only got married last year.
However, Phil solo will always mean "cheez" to me! His music now is synonymous with Lite FM!
