Subject: 80's sunglasses. Need help!
Hey everyone! i've just found this board, i need a bit of help. I'm looking for some 80's plastic window shades looking glasses... ever seen that video of Simple Minds called "glittering prize" from 1982? it's the same type of sunglasses that the model is wearing.. here i've got a pic of the glasses i found online:

anyone know of any online place i could order? or what is the name of this type of glasses, i'm from Brazil and i have no clue if there is any specific name in english.. so i couldn't search properly on ebay.. except that i found other 80's sunglasses there that i had already.

Think you are referring to "wraparounds", you can get six to a pack at the Dollar Store.

I'm not sure, i tried to search for wraparound glasses on ebay, but none of them looked like the sunglasses i'm looking for. The one i want is all pastic, instead of normal lenses it has plastic horizontal stripes, just like window shades.

I had a pair of these sunglasses. They came with a big stuffed teddybear I won at the state fair. That was perhaps back in 1987. They've been long gone for years. :-[

yeah, i wish mine were never stolen, i guess it was the neighbour kid >:(
I hope i find somewhere, i found an all 80's sunglasses store online, maybe i will ask them to make those. I will let you know!
