I don't get a lot of these projects they make you do in schools now. What kind of teachers are these anyway?
I'm 27 years old, I'm trying to think back to the very late 80's and early-mid 1990's when I was close to your age....and I don't remember ever being assigned such projects about the 1970's. Maybey we were given a project to do about the politics of the 70's sure, like Watergate, the end of Vietnam and the Carter Presidency, or even the fashion of the 70's.....but the food? Huh?
I mean honestly, we were not eating that differently back in the 80's compared to now. I know that when I was 13 and 14 in 1989, I don't remember eating caveman food or anything like that. I mean you were at least 3 or 4 years old in 1989, do you remember your dad going out and killing a buffalo for the family to eat?

We lived on (at least once a week) Banquet Fried Chicken, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and milk that came in a bag (5 quarts instead of a gallon). Banquet is still out and I decided to purchase some a little while ago...what a mistake! Horrible, horrible, horrible! I guess it was because of the inexpensive (ok, cheap) factor.

In the 80s, I remember eating a lot of Lean Cuisiens. (however it is spelled). Nuked food was popular because most people were just getting microwaves. I remember microwave popcorn was very popular.

:o :oI like Banquet ok,but it IS a bit too salty.Using your air popper to make salt-free popcorn(Orville redenbacher jar),with just butter was good too.Flavored popcorns were in,as well as sushi and lumpias.IU believe the McDLT came out in the 80s.Ramen was widely used, and soy milk was catching on.Cheers!

What kind of music do you like to play when you are eating dinner? I like to listen to Jan and Dean sometimes, but only when I am eating hot dogs and macaroni and cheese. Which is practically every night. ;D :D ;D
