Subject: Favourite Teen Movie Of All Time
As you all know - the 80s had all the John Hughes teen flicks and more, and the 90s carried on the teen movie trend. So which teen movie is your favourite?
80s: Breakfast Club, Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure
90s: Ten Things I Hate About You, Cruel Intentions
(I thought 'Not Another Teen Movie' was hilarious with the 80s references - unfortunatly my boyfriend at the time did not understand any of the things I kept picking up on!The 'Anthony Michael 'Hall' ' was great :])

It's a toss up between Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Breakfast Club. I would also like to give an honorable mention to Vision Quest.

My thoughts exactly! :D

My favorite teen movie of all time is most definitely Sixteen Candles, with Molly Ringwald reigning supreme as the perfect 80s-teen girl Samantha Bakerand Anthony Michael Hall as geek personified in the character of Farmer Ted. My sister and I get together at least once or twice a year to watch this movie: we can literally recite the entire script! :)

Subject: Re: Favourite Teen Movie Of All Time
The Breakfast Club - it's just such a classic! However, I also liked 10 Things I Hate About You, but that could have something to do with Heath Ledger (YUM!!).

I gotta go with Sixteen Candles. That movie makes me howl with laughter everytime I see it!! A very close second would be Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Another classic!!
"At least I'm not named after a duck's dork!"
"You are a dork!"
"Mr. Hand! What are you doing here?"

Fast Times was a great movie, as was Ferris Bueller. Still, You gotta love the Breakfast Club! Hmm, nobody ha mentioned 'St Elmos Fire'. I saw that for the 1st time last week and wasn't too impressed.

I wonder if Bright Lights Big City is one? I liked it but I know that not many people did
Subject: Re: Favourite Teen Movie Of All Time
I liked "The Year My Voice Broke", "Mischief" (50s theme with a young Kelly Preston), and "Satisfaction" (the movie was a bit average, but the clothes were SO 80s.

and forgot to mention "Just One Of The Guys" and "The Karate Kid" with a very young Elisabeth Shue. BTW William Zabka plays the role of the bad guy at the high school in both of them.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Cameron Frye, Ferris best friend what a character sometimes my days a like Cameron. :-/
Subject: Re: Favourite Teen Movie Of All Time
Eh, does that mean that some days you get to see Sloane Peterson changing into her swimsuit? ;)
(psst...I sometimes like to use the voice that Cameron used when he was imitating Sloane's dad with Rooney.)
;D

Btw, here's something scary -
For those of you in the U.S., you know about the whole Scott Peterson mess. Well, I remember seeing Scott's mistress, Amber, at her little press conference a few months ago, and thinking, "Gee, she's got the same beady eyes and the same 'almost-crying' look on her face that that Cameron dude from 'Ferris...' had on his face when he was in the kitchen (with Ferris) saying "You... hit me!" And so every time she (Amber) appears on the news, I'll jokingly say to my family, "Hey look - it's Cameron!". But not until I read your post, Dorian, did I realize that Cameron's last name in the movie was FRYE - the same as Amber's in real life!!!
And not only that - who was Cameron imitating on the phone? - Mr. PETERSON!!!!!!
:o
If Scott Peterson gets on the witness stand, puts his hand on the Bible and says, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me", then I'll KNOW something wicked is afoot!!
