Subject: King Biscuit Flour Hour.
Anybody listen to them? I can remember in the early 80's swiping my little brother's then-new FM stereo walkman just before bedtime and then secretly listen to the show when I was supposed to be sleeping. ;)
Most favourable concerts heard: Robert Plant, Genesis, The Who, The FIXX, and Journey. I used to have a record of some of the songs they would play. Must be a collectors now. If anyone is interested, check out: http://kingbiscuit.com/

Ohmigosh, Secret Squirrel...you just brought back some memories!
I tried to never miss King Biscuit. My favorite one, which I recorded off of the radio, was The Police (still one of my all time favorite bands). Mark Goodman, one of the original MTV Veejay's, was a DJ at WNEW in New York City....now I can't remember what year, but it was @ early, early 80's, and he was the DJ that night when I recorded it. Hmm, maybe I still have that tape???!!

Aye there was another show where you could call in and talk to the Artist while they played his or her music.. anyone remember? I'm having a senior moment here. Was it Rockline? the King Biscuit Flour Hour used to follow it here in Tampa FL

Yes. "Rockline". It used to be produced by Album Network, but I'm not sure if that's still true. In 1999, they split into 2 separate nights Monday nights are "active rock" and Wednesdays are "classic rock". www.rocklineradio.com

I caught them once or twice but I don't recall any specific show.

Are you on WinMX?? If so, search "king biscuit" and you will find lots of stuff available. There's a lineup for the music but who cares. :) The Police would have been a good one. I remember buying the tape "Synchronicity".

the greatest show of all was ozzy osbourne and randy rhoads-several excerpts from this show ended up on '87's tribute.
