Subject: Stryper - Always There For You

Has anyone heard this song and or seen the video? It's awesome. Actually It's kind of a tearjerker for me, it has a sentimental sadness to the melody Check it out.

That's OK dauterman I have the In God We Trust CD. I also have The Yellow And Black Attack, Soldiers Under Command and To Hell With The Devil. Stryper was capable of writing Razor sharp rockers and tender ballads Pretty cool if you ask me. They were pioneers of christian rock, and probably the most commercially successful ever.

I don't blame you...Honestly is a beautiful song.  I have always wanted "First Love" at a wedding, though.

I saw Stryper at The Troubadour (an L.A. nightclub) before anybody knew who they were. In fact I went there that night to see "Rick Fox's SIN", Stryper was the opening band that night. They had the black & yellow stryped outfits, and their drummer's drum set was facing sideways.

The lead singer preached alot between songs; mostly bragging about Jesus and saying things like "The Devil is a fool! He is a loser!" My first feeling was that these guys don't belong here. But after a while I couldn't help thinking; These guys got alot of balls talking like that in a Hell bent Heavy Metal nightclub.

By the time they finished I had to admit they sounded better than most of the bands I heard there. It also proved that you didn't have to be a Satanist to play good hard Rock.

I'm listening to the song now. No doubt that Stryper can rock as heavy with the best of them. They are coming out with a best of Stryper C.D. Called 7! Can't wait to get this. Hopefully a tour will follow. If you get a chance, check out Michael Sweet's solo work. Quite good!
