Subject: Best & Worst '80's TV Theme Songs
Theme songs from the 1980's.
The Best: :D In my opinion.
"Miami Vice"
"Knight Rider"
"Cheers"
"MTV" (the moon landing/MTV logos on flag/guitar plays...)
"Alvin & The Chipmunks"
"Solid Gold" (heard it when VH1 aired reruns in the mid '90's)
"Bosom Buddies" (A song from Joe Jackson)
"Square Pegs"
"Heathcliff"
"Reading Rainbow"
"Tracy Ullman Show" (original version)
"Married...With Children"
The Worst: :-/ In my opinion.
"The Facts of Life"
A lot of the sappy family oriented sitcoms
(especially "Who's The Boss"...my 'guilty pleasure')
"Eureka's Castle"
"Duck Tales"
"Fraggle Rock"

I always remembered the "Bosom Buddies" theme song as "Its My Life" by Billy Joel. What Joe Jackson song are you thinking of?

I'm not sure. I had "Steping Out" in my head, but I know that's not the theme song. :P
I haven't heard the theme or watched "Bosom Buddies" for about a couple of months . You're right. (source: Sitcoms Online) Thanks for mentioning Billy Joel. I don't know that much about tv theme songs.

One of my favourites is "Stingray" (1985). This series had a very good theme, and the songs played as background music were really good.
And for all anime fans, "Bubblegum crisis" (1987), which in my opinion had the best soundtrack ever...
