Hi! Just to be able to get to know everyone, what was your favorite toy/toys in the 80's? Mine is for sure Strawberry Shortcake but I also collect others like Care Bears, Glo Friends and those super cute plastic charms!! :) What are yours??

:o Okay first of all, freaked out that our user names are basically identical! LOL!!!
Favorite toy? Hmmmm, Kabangers (sp?). 2 hard plastic balls on ropes w/ a handle in the middle. I can't describe exactly how they were used, just kinda wacked them up & down (and got a bruised wrist when you lost the rhythm and they "fell"!)

Ooh, I loved my Snake! I played with my snake till I wore it out.
That sounds awfully dirty, though...

i still collect toys from the eighties and by far the most coolest toys were DOUGRAMS-diecast robots you could put armor on! starcom toys were cool because the figures had magnets on their feet and the ships transform at the touch of a button! legos were awesome too-but the coolset toys were leftovers from the '70's in the discount bins! if ya'll have any cool dougrams or starcom toys i would love to obtain them from you.

Speak and Spell was my favorite! That thing taught me how to spell words back in preschool that I wouldn't see again until third grade!
I wish I had Speak and Math...I don't know why I never got it.

I remember that I had a 6 wheeled vehicle that could be programmed to go anywhere, it looked futuretistic like the armored Vehicle from the Jan Micheal Vincint Movie (cant remember the name - was it damnation alley?) Anyways this think also had a trailer that you could program to dump stuff with (It actually looked like a dump truck) Pretty cool stuff for the early 80s... also had Electronic Battle ship, good game!

The voice seemed to have some sort of attitude...especially when he won when he pompously said "I win!"

Thats it 80sRockstar! Thanks!! I had some fun times with that thing! My brother had the ultimate tho, he bought a HEATH kit robot (called the HERO 1) that thing was fantastic! talk about the ultimate toy, now you see Sony's dog come out now, robotics is back in baby!
Most hated toys of the 80s:
Well they were actually designed in the 60s but they still had them in the 80s and those were th bump and go reverse cars, the ones that had the spinning front wheeled trucks and the actual front wheels never hit the ground. They never went in a straight line, they would continually bump if in a corner, MAN I hated those toys!!
