Subject: Little Known Hits...
...that you think people should definitly listen to! These could be album tracks or singles which didn't do all that well. Some of you 80s fantatics will probably know some songs/artists mentioned - but this would be a good thread to find new artists/songs.
I think if your a synth-pop/new-wave fan you should definitly listen to:
- Berlin - The Metro and Pleasure Victim
If you like The Clash and Annie Lennox, get a hold of
- Annie Lennox - Train In Vain
If you like Indie and Lighter Rock music (and your not British - beacuse if your a 80s fan from the Uk, you will know this band definitly!)
- The Jam - Town Called Malice & Going Underground & Start!
And the band that I'm most likely to plug beacuse they're fantastic goes too...This is if you like indie music, and want to dig deep into the roots of the Madchester scene or Brit pop...THE SMITHS!!!! (What a surprise, huh? :))
Anyone else want to plug some songs or artists they like?

Portion Control - "The Great Divide"
One to One - "Angel In My Pocket"
Mark Imperial - "J'Adore Danser"

And of course, check out Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club, Depeche Mode, New Order, and the Smiths! :D

I LOVE "The Metro." In fact, that was the reason why I bought the CD-just for that song.
The Bangles-Hazy Shade of Winter-nice remake of Simon & Garfunkel.
Can't think of any more right now.

"Darkness" by The Human League.
This is a song that could easily match their other famous tunes - and it's a non-single track! Check it out. It's very much worth the time and money.

I think the song you mean is, "Everything Counts." :)
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves, after all
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves, after all
It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts.
I LOVE that song!!!!!!! :)
Absolutely Vile
