HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 24 — Vince Vaughn, Steve Buscemi, Saffron Burrows, Michael Rapaport, Barbara Hershey, Mia Kirshner, Seymour Cassel and Ione Skye will star in the $4.5 million film ''The Sky Is Green,'' centered around the 1980s music scene in Los Angeles.

I was excited until I saw it was about the late 80s hip hop scene. I thought they might have been looking at early 80s sleaze and glam. That would be special!

Yeah, I was hoping it was going to be centered around the 80s New Wave scene or the Hair Band/Glam rock bands of the mid-to-late 80s! So much great material to mine there; why can't these movie makers get it right? ::)
