My Favorite is "Friday the 13th" (the Series)
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
I'm not sure if the Evil Dead series began in the 80s, but it was (and still is) definately my favorite.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
What about "Nightmare on Elm Street" Was it an eighties flick?
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
How about the "Faces of Death" series? :o
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
The strangest horror movie I remember from the 80's is Bloody New Year. I have it on home video and watch it occasionally, pretty weird stuff.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
I looked at Friday the 13th last night. Kill her mommy, kill her. ;D
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
Does anybody know what happened to Jason for sure in the last of the "Friday the 13th" Movie ;D
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
I know he was dissolved by acid in the sewer in Pt VIII. I haven't seen Pts. IX or X, so I don't know.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
The original Nightmare on Elm Street scared the living daylights out of me. :o Truly, one of the most frightening movies of all time!!!
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
Alien and Poltergeist. Scared the hell out of me when they came out. Slasher flicks didn't do a thing for me.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
What about the Omen series?? Does it qualify as an eighties series??
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
FRIDAY THE 13th definetly! There's just something about those 80's camp movies!!
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
80's camp horror movies like Friday the 13th can still freak anybody can't they? Too bad they don't make movies like that anymore
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
The Nightmare on Elm Streets were always my favorite. :) Would watch them late at night and then be freaked out about falling asleep.

It appears he burned up entering the atmosphere of a planet at the end of "Jason X"...but I hope not. Go, Jason, go!!!!

I mean, even if he DID burn up, he'll be back again. The only way Jason can TRULY die is if he is killed by a member of the Voorhees family.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
I hope that someday Jason will return to "scare" us for the sake of our entertainment.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
I checked out "Nightmare on Elm Street" today. Boy! it really scared the hell out of me. So I'd rate it as my second favorite 80's horror movie after the "Friday the 13th" Series. ::)
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
My favourites were:
Poltergeist
The Howling
The Changeling
An American Werewolf on London (comedy horror)
Fright Night 1 & 2 (comedy horror)
Cujo

Sometime back I saw a chilling horror movie that was loosely based on Friday the 13th series. I can't recollect its title. It was something like " hills have eyes" but I am not sure. Can anybody give me the correct title. I think it was a B movie.
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
How about Shocker? I haven't seen that movie in forever. If I remember correctly, it was kind of funny too...
Subject: Re: Favorite 80's Horror Movies
The Howling still freaks me :o
