Subject: War Of The Worlds (TV Series)

Anyone remember the show War Of The Worlds? It aired on FOX from 1988 to 1990. I think it was a show that was ahead of It's time. I would love to find recordings of it. I haven't seen it since 1990. War Of The Worlds would be a great show for The Sci Fi Channel.

Y U C K ! It was stupid of them to even think about turning it into a TV series. For one thing, both the book and the movie make it clear the Martians DIED in the end. Then along comes the TV series saying, basically, "No, they weren't dead; they only slept". Then came the problem of why nobody remembered the original invasion. That was explained away by saying the aliens could inflict selective memory loss on humans. Come on! Even if that was the case, what about the zillions of newspaper and magazine articles, newsreels, and textbooks about the invasion? And when did the aliens suddenly gain the ability to take over human bodies? In the words of John Stossel, "Gimme a break!".
