Subject: Searching for the name of a Stuffed Cat toy
Written By: Vaporshi on 01/26/03 at 00:12 a.m.
When I was around 2-3 years old my Mom bought me a stuffed-cat toy. I've had it ever since, and I've been curious of the original name and brand of the toy.
The cat is small, and black and white. It doesn't do anything special, it just sits still. I tried to scan it but it didn't come out too well ^^;

It looks a little different than the original because it's old. XD; But if you recognize the make, please reply. I'd be very thankful.

Hm...I have no idea! My original thought before I saw the scan was that maybe it was one of the cats that bounced off of "Pound Puppies". Weren't they like "Pound Purries" or something like that? Yours doesn't look like the material they were made in, though. I thought they were made in the material that most Beanie Babies are made in.

I dont know what that is...the first thing that came to mind to me (before I saw the picture) was Purr-tenders. They were stuffed cats that came with disguises and they had little sound boxes in them where you could squeeze them and make them purr. They even made a cartoon about them. I *think* the story behind them was that all these cats were at the pet shop and no parents would let the kids take home a cat. They always wanted their kids to pick something that could be in a cage or glass tank or something...so anyways...the cats make disguises to look like other animals but they always gave themselves away because when they were hugged or petted they would purr (but the people always took them home anyways) I think the parents didnt know and it was like the kids secret that they knew it was really a cat and not a bird or something! haha...I had one that had a mouse disguise!
