Subject: help me with this song

I'm trying to find the title and artist for a song that was really popular at dance places in around 1984 or 85. The singer is male and the style is like New Order. The only lyrics I remember are: thin skin, paper thin, you win, and nothing could be better(or can be better, I don't know).... I thought that it was Vitamin Z, but am probably wrong. Anyway, thanks for any help.

Could it be Steve Winwood? Here are partial lyrics:
Sometimes I think Im losing Then again I think I win I dont want to think at all of hope It could be better for me If I win or I give in It could be better for you If I lose everything It could be better for you If I lose or you give in It could be better for me If you lose everything When you win sometimes you lose All that you had when you lose It could be better for me
