The Edge of Space was one of those "shows within a show;" sort of like "Pigs in Space" to the Muppet Show.  The Edge of Space was basically the story of three puppets that worked on a space station on Mars.  All I can remember is that the one puppet looked like Super Mario (from Nintendo) and the robot puppet was named Giz.
My real question has to do with the main show that The Edge of Space was part of.  I believe that the main show was on CBS on Saturday mornings.  The two main characters were a boy named Chris and a girl (but I can't remember her name).  The boy had a some sort of CB radio / television connection in his bedroom that enabled him to speak to the girl...who lived on a space station.  Beyond that, the only things I can remember is that the space station was very white inside and the girl used to talk to Chris on a huge oval screen on her wall.  She also used to talk to her diary which was a crystal-like, circular computer.
I have been driving myself crazy trying to think of this show, or at least find someone else that remembers this show.  I have even emailed people at CBS.  Any ideas???

So nobody has any idea what I am talking about here?  I was really hoping to see at least one person that remembered this show.

Oh,Man I used to love watching The Great Space Coaster on Television.That was my favorite.Gary Gnu was my favorite and so was M.T. Pockets.Anyone remember him? The big guy with the long mustache?
