Noooooooo. Well it's a good thing my wife and I are at work. She's already a bunch of them on tape since the last time they were aired. Wonder if I should tell her... (I'm actually a bit of a fan myself, but I kinda got KRed out after hearing multiple episodes each day and that stupid #(*&#$*& "White Bird" song! Argh!) :P

Hey Nitro, you going to keep track of Airwolf for us too?  :)  I'd like to see that...

Just been watching a couple of episodes I managed to squeeze in between all the rubbish my folks keep taping. Worse thing about satellite TV is not being able to tape and watch! :( When Knight Rider first aired we didn't have a video and because it was so popular we ALL had to watch it! The women were often out-voted when it came to a choice between Kit or Coronation Street.

Boy, I wish I had Michael Knight's Job, don't you? Those girls he keeps bumping into, they're so sweet-looking I can see my past creeping back up on me all over again: girls were blonde, wore far too much makeup and had a distinct liking for leather jackets and fast cars! Don't think Kit would approve much..

I threw a magazine away in the early nineties, about cars that were done up like Kit. Dam I wish I'd kept that; some guy had built a 600 hp Trans Am monster and it looked so neat for the time, massive wheels and sleek body etc..still a good looker even by today's standards - would be useful to include the ejector seat however, for when the kids start moaning about all this "old" stuff we keep taping!

Bye :-)

William Daniels was the voice of KITT.  Daniels also played Principal Feeney on the TV show Boy Meets World.

Very good.  :) I knew that before St. Elsewhere, and before Boy Meets World. I love 1776 that starred William Daniels and I used to listen to the album all the time. Now, I can spot his voice anywhere.

He also played the role of Ben's father in The Graduate.  He had my favorite line in that movie.

"Now listen Ben... Look, I think it's a very good thing that a young man after he's done some very good work should have a chance to relax and enjoy himself and lie around and drink beer and so on... But after a few weeks, I believe that person would want to take stock of himself and his situation, and start to think about getting off his a--..."

Back to Knight Rider-

I'm going to have to watch Knight Rider one of these days, I don't remember seeing a re-run of that show for what seems like forever.

Watching it right now.  Been watching it from episode one.  Everybody remember what KARR stands for?  My friend thought of a better translation for the acronym:  how about Kick Ass Righteous Ride?

wasn't KARR for Knight Automated Roving Robot?

I've been watching the Sci-Fi channel reruns.  Knight Rider is sooooo campy and stupid.  I thought it was beyond cool when I was a kid.  Now it's just embarrassing to watch.

"Knight Rider" is an OK show. At least it's better than the other show that starred Hasslehoff with a bunch of  slo mo runnin' life gaurds with red bathing suits instead of a talking Trans Am named KITT. :D (no offense to "Baywatch" fans)
Not to mention a better theme than "Baywatch".

Unfortunately, (No Offense)  I'm better off watching "Married...With Children" reruns on FX or "Gidget" (Don't Ask) on TV Land than Michael Knight & KITT of "Knight Rider". I've seen a couple of episodes of "Knight Rider" & It's actually a good show to watch during my down time.  8) If nothing else is on.

Knight Rider was excellent in comparison to later series involving the lone hero and his "supercar"... for instance, VIPER anyone?
Didn't think so...  ;)

I thought Knight Rider was the dorkiest show of the 1980's.

I agree Ian, does anyone remember the show that competed with Knight Rider, the guy had the "Tron" look... it ran for just over or less than one season

I remember that show.  I just can't remember the name of it right now.  They had alot of techno-shows then, eh.  Helicopters ("Blue Thunder" and "Airwolf"), there was a motorcycle one as well...  they had the same basic theme: secret police/govt/vigilante working out of a secret location, usually a garage of some sort.

Back to Knight Rider, imagine my disappointment when I sat in a copy of KITT at a local mall during a show of some sort and discovering that the dash WASN'T FUNCTIONAL after all!  >:(  Jeez.  The show was never the same to me after that.  Shortly after the show aired I started seeing people who had the blinking red light swishing back and forth like the eyes of a Cylon from Battlestar Gallactica installed on their TransAm. Glen Larson, where do you come up with these ideas?  :D

The name of the show was "Automan", also made by Glen Larson who made Knight Rider.  Automan first came out in 1983 and it started Desi Arnaz Jr. as a computer scientist who createst this holographic computer guy named Automan that can create anything.  Automan also had a little friend named "Cursor".  Automan usually created a blue neon lit Lamborghini that he would drive around in that made sharp 90 degree turns. This show was the ULIMATE in 80's CHEESE, and it ran for only 1 year.  If you guys thought Knight Rider was stupid, you won't believe how cheesy and ridiculous Automan was.  Knight Rider at least had some kind of respectability and watchability to it.

The motorcyle show was called "Street Hawk".

There was indeed a lot of vehicle themed shows during the  1980's.  Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Hardcastle and McCormick, Automan, Airwolf, Blue Thunder, Street Hawk, Highway Man, and ofcourse the cartoons like Transformers, Go-Bots, Robotech, M.A.S.K., etc, etc,....

That's it!  I just found a site that has some video clips.. I forgot it was Tangerine Dream who did the theme song.  Says they only did 13 episodes.  That means I must have seen them all... heheh.  :P
