Does anybody here remember them? I am sort of drunk right now and listening to Walk Together Rock Together. Actually that's pretty funny since they were/are considered straightedge!!!HA! I hope one of you knows what I am talking about or I will have to explain what I just wrote. I'm too intoxicated at the moment to do it!Ha!!! ;D

I remember them. No, I wasn't the punk rocker; my best friend Eric was. In the early 80s we both drifted away from the Led-Zep type music and into a new scene. For me it was Metal while Eric went punk. I listened to some of his stuff, and vice versa but neither of us converted.

I remember seeing the records and hearing some of their tunes at Eric's house in the mid 80s, but never dived into their lyrics. What Eric told me about 7 seconds was they were "positive punk": From what I gathered they were basically anti-drug and lacked the self destructive, anti-social, anti-republic, anti-Reagan, anti-capitalist, anti-hygene message that the other Punk groups were known for.

To be honest with you, I didn't find them near as entertaining as The MeatMen or GBH ("Big women" was funny as hell!). 8)

I just might go out and see if I can find that old GBH album on CD. If I'm not mistaken, it had another tune on it that was funny as hell: "Freak of nature"

"...FREAK! Of nature!
FREAK! God I hate her...!"

Those guys were about as obnoxious as a Punk Rock group could possibly get. But with GBH, I could actually understand the words at normal speed.

Of course I remember 7 Seconds  :D
I still listen to them quite a bit. Walk together, rock together was a good album. I even liked the one they did in '87 with the kinda U2 sound, Praise, with the lyrics:

"I'm supposed to proud, and hold my head up high, and act like I am worthy of respect I do not share.'

I just found this board and it's pretty cool. I was a punk kid growing up in the 80's, DC area so I was most into straight-edge DC stuff, but I know a lot of 80's punk stuff. I still listen to it a lot.
