Has anyone else noticed that this messageboard is becoming all about Madonna?? All subjects are about her...it's suppose to be a BROAD 80's messageboard. I am sure there are just MADONNA messageboards. I like her and all but come on now! :o

Despite what you may think this forum is not all about you or Madonna, not to be rude but you really should go find a forum about Madonna and post there. I am sure you will meet all kinds of friends who also have nothing else on their minds. Enough is enough. The Eighties had a lot more to offer than just the Material Girl.

If I listed them all i would be here all night. I don't know about Metalica though. Maybe if they hadn't of crusaded aginst MP3's.

The crusade wasn't aimed at MP3s specifically, but people who were trading them without permission. Uploading music files so everyone in the world could rip them before the band had even released it. That's what their campaign was actually about. They just went about it completely wrong.

I was wondering when this point was going to come up. I totally agree. In the last couple of days, all these Madonna messages have appeared. A little variety would be better. She might be a favourite for a few people here, but she's not for everyone (especially me!). I think she's a bit overrated.

i have to admit i love jouney. i like every one of thier songs. my favorite songs are from infinity. madonna is better though.

i'm not that young. and madonna is what i like. i've liked her since i was 5. some of my earliest memories are from dancing in front of the tv while watching her virgin tour on laser disc.

This may be true, but not everyone likes Madonna and we don't like being bombarded with her. You have to understand that if you want to get along with the people here.

I think Madonna is great - and I think her music was fantastic in the 80s .
But still, as dagwood has just said, we don't want to be bombarded with 'Madonna' posts. Ok, we understand you like her... A LOT. But that doesn't mean that everyone else does too. I mean, I love 'The Smiths' - but you don't see me posting ever other topic on the 80s board about them! Just give it a little rest for now is my advice :)

Laser disc at 5? At 5 I was dancing to a 78 spinning on a turn table. ::) And the T.V. was black and white. You're young-enjoy it!

I think what Cassie needs to do is to post once in a while but not

While I don't condone the complaining, I don't think it's as simple as just ignoring ilovemadonna's threads, as this person has a tendency to hi-jack or attempt to hi-jack other threads with their Madonna worship as well, the "Skeletal Family and 80's Goth......" thread being a case in point.

i would agree with that. if you hate hearing so much about madonna then read about something else. a lot of people obviously do like my threads because they have gotten a lot of replies. look, all i wanted was a place where i could fit in and be respected for the fact that i love madonna. i don't get it at school, at church, and at home. i came here when i was feeling really alone and abandoned. at first no one replied to my threads and then a lot of people did. i felt like there was hope for a 14 year old obsessed with madonna. i don't have that many psts and they are easy to avoid so please stop complaining. i get enough of that everywhere else.

Cassie,I respect your opinion(s).I've been going to the Madonna web site for a week now and it's fantastic.I found the videos from 1982-1985 watchable.And to think,she was only 24 years old when she made her first video.She was so cute,I wish I'd known her back then but what did I know,I was 8. heehee! ;D

Good Point.
There are other people on this this board that are fans of a piticular artist (Possibly even bigger fans of thiers, than she is of her's). The difference is the Board's Bon Jovi or Duran Duran fans are not posting ten threads about them all in one night, and there definatly not hijacking other threads such as "Back to the future was good, but Bon Jovi's movies were better". Every once in a while they may post a thread about thier favorite artist, but not every reply they post is about thier artist.
