Subject: ~*~*~*~HELP, WHAT'S THE NAME OF THIS? ~*~*~*~

Written By: iloveseth on 12/10/02 at 07:04 a.m.

OK. So I loved these necklaces when I was a kid. It was a plastic chain link charm necklace with many different kinds of charms that all had little jingle bells on them.  I found a few on ebay but I still don't know the name of them or who made them??? please help......

I was just thinking about these a few days ago!  :D
Don't know what they were called either, will have to look. My friend and I had 3 each of those necklaces full of little toys. I don't have any of those any more, but remember there was a little toilet charm, and a little frying pan w/a fried egg in it....

I loved those things also, they were all the rage in 5th grade, and me and my friends used to trade them. I think my mother ended up giving mine away to my niece when she was a baby. I wished I had still had them! I had loads.

Holy S**T!!!  Thanks for the memory.  I think they were just called charm necklaces.  Where I lived, there was this place called "the Union Flea Market".  One of the booths there sold the charms for $1.00 for 3 charms.  I remember goign every weekend and buying up the charms.  Kind of queer now.

I had TWO of them. In fact, I still have them somewhere.  It was like 1984, I believe, and I used to get the charms in the mall at a store called "The Rainbow Shop".

I used to collect them when I was little.  I just bought a whole bunch off E-Bay!

Now I have them hanging in my room  ;D

They're very collectible on e-bay, I've even managed to find a few at flea markets  :)

I have about a hundred charms on like 3 chains.

I took them into work and everybody (around my age!) freaked out saying they had them too!  and thought they were cool!
