I'm pretty sure "he" is the correct pronoun. I remember reading years ago that his wife helped him with makeup designs (and taught him to apply it properly).
I also vaguely remember seeing a candid photo of him and his Mrs. once. He looks fairly normal without all the warpaint.

He doesn't look the same as he did but at least he still looks remotely human, unlike Michael Jackson!!! :o

Freaky...I was thinking about him just the other day, when one of DOA's songs was on the radio.
I remember seeing a VH-1 "where are they now" type-thing, and it was about all of the plastic surgery he's undergone. It's a shame, too, because he was a nice looking guy (who of course wore makeup and dressed ambiguously, but that's beside the point!). I don't know what people are thinking...!

I think the lips are the scariest part! They look as if they've been inflated with helium! He kinda resembles the character of Frank N. Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show!!! :o

I saw him on a TV, celebrity music quiz show a few months back, called 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'. It had to be one of the starngest episodes ever. He was such a weird guy, not just looking, but the way he acted. The entire game is a bit of fun, it doesn't matter how many points you get or who wins really. But he was so competitive and kept chalalnging Mark Lamar, the host. If any Brit saw the show, they will know exactly what I mean!

actually, if you look at his pic long enough, his lips look as if they are superimposed on the picture. Like they are fake lips. And talk about airbrushed.... ;) Ahhhh! I have looked at the pic too long! It has a hypnotic effect....

I love Pete Burns and Dead Or Alive I have a rather large Dead Or Alive collection I just don't understand what Pete is doing to his lips ??? Umm thats very very weird. Hes got very weird since Youthquake. He seems to be a strange one. But then again, look at the synthesizer/dance arstits from the 80s. Its as thought they al went crazy when they fell off the charts.

Did anyone see Pete Burns on V.Graham Norton the other night?! Was most weird watching him sitting there, looking like a woman, dressed in what looked like a woman's trouser suit, but talking and sounding like a bloke! (err, that'll because he is a bloke then I guess..). Looked quite good actually, apart from the lips which are totally hideous.

HA! I almost shot soda through my nose when I saw that picture! He looks like Daniel Ash from Love and Rockets in the worst drag EVER. Then again, I guess I should expect no less from the man that said the following about plastic surgery: "I'll put my nose on my *ss if I feel like it!" (Thank you, Pop-Up Video, even though you constantly get your facts wrong)
