Okay I watched The Breakfast Club last night and I am very confused about something. Remember when the janitor says "HI" to Brian and Bender says "that's your dad?" or whatever? Well I thought it was his dad, that's how they made it seem...then in the end when he gets picked up in the same car his mom dropped him off in in the morning...it's his father...but it's not the janitor. I don't get it, was Bender just joking to get Brian embarassed...maybe the janitor just knows Brian? OMG you people probably think I'm a raving lunatic...please help if you can!

No-I always wondered the same thing actually. Never did completely figure that out, but assumed he just said that to embarass Brian.   ???

I had to think about that one for a sec because it's been awhile since I saw the movie.  I'm pretty sure it's because it makes it seem like Brian doesn't really have any friends other than the janitor.

Side note to that movie, a few years ago I worked at a hotel and the Principal character guy(whatever his name is)stayed at the same hotel.  I remember wanting to go up and say something to him about raiding Barry Mainlow's wardrobe, but I figured he had heard that a couple million times, so I didn't.

I think Bender was just making a comment to be rude because the janitor said hi to Brian.  Normally janitors don't know the students by name.  

I think that the nerd kid was friendly with the Janitor since he didn't have many friends his own age.  

Okay thanks...I figured it was a joke but I wasnt' sure, now I am ;)

I had the janitor on a flight once.  He was really cocky.  Almost to the point of being a real a**hole.
He also played the future husband of Sam's sister on Pretty in Pink.

I know this janitor who doesn't clean the building he gets paid to clean. He is also a real....well, I have a few choice words but I will keep it nice.
