Subject: 1980's fashion designers
Hi there,
I wanted to ask about the names of the fashion designers of 1980's. The contribution of the brands & fashion designers from 1980-1990. If u can please help me out with this, i would be thankful.

Well, I can name some brands but not necessarily "designers".
FORENZA!!!! ;D Esprit, Coke rugby shirts (don't know who put them out). Very early was Jordache ("designer jeans" was what they called them - and others copied but only Jordache held sway). Ocean Pacific (OP). Outback Red.
Funny, my parents wouldn't buy me these jeans; they tried the copy-cats by some nobody vendor called Guess. "Guess" I was way ahead of my time after all! Too bad the other girls didn't think so. :(

I was in middle school in the late 80's early 90's and now I am in my first year of college. Here are some of the things me and my friends wore. We put our hair in a pony tail. Some wore the ponytail off to one side. We also wore headbands in our hair. We wore jeans that we rolled up or that were a little short in the legs sort of like ankle length jeans to show the slouch socks we wore. the slouch socks we wore were white wigwams 622 slouch socks and keds sneakers. These socks are easy to find. Then we wore a sweatshirt or sweater.
Another outfit was a pair of cotton or spandex bike shorts worn under a skirt or a little above the knee length dress with the wigwam slouch socks and keds sneakers. Also I wore the cheereleading skirt that was that was mid knee length this way too.
One other style was cotton leggings ankle length with wigwam slouch socks, keds sneakers and either a t shirt, sweatshirt, or a sweater.
I hope this info helps. Post back with what you wear on 80's day.

this is the perfect unisex 80's outfit:
polo shirt (green or pink, or layer both colors), collar up.....penny loafers (with dimes)....red tag Levi's (with cuffs)...and add a sweater tied around your shoulder. dont forget a belt. you MUST have a belt. and if you are going to carry a purse, that MUST match your belt.
or you could dress like any 80's music idol. it was actually fashionable to dress like your favorite singer.

Go for the party look in the 80s! A pouffy petticoat worn as a skirt (bright color preffered), tights or leggings, a bustier or corset top. Or go for the valley girl look, drop waist miniskirt (rah rah skirt), also with tights and a matching top... My two fave looks of the 80s.. And...BIG HAIR!!

The Look I always went for goes something like this: :-[ Hair pulled up in a side ponytail with my bangs curled and sprayed straight up so that they looked like a wave about to crash into my forehead, a collared shirt under a 3/4in sleeve sweater so that the cuffs of the other shirt would show, some nice acid-washed taper legged jeans that I tight rolled so that I could show off my slouch socks and high-topped Reeboks. Accessories included but were not limited to jean purse,10-20 rubber and/or braided friendship bracelets, and large hoop earings. Man I was STYLIN!!!! ;) ;) ;)
