Subject: Howard Jones

I've noticed that there are a few of you out there from the UK, very cool.  I was in London about four years ago and caught a show he did at The Jazz Cafe.  Has anyone seen him in concert there or anywhere else for that matter?

Me & a friend only recently discovered he is more the man than we knew he was.  We knew & liked most of his songs, just never knew he did them (radio stations never like to tell you names & titles anymore).  We just thought he was the lead singer of what we dubbed "Generic 80s Band".  You've heard them, Glass Tiger, Johnny Hates Jazz, Crowded House, Human League, ABC, Naked Eyes, OMD, Level 42, Cutting Crew, Sheriff, Breathe, ______(enter other British lead singer-lead band here).

Crowded House was NOT generic.

Music must not have been something you paid close attention to at that time...

Hey, back off.

The "Generic 80s Band" is NOT meant has a derogratory title in our books.  Just that they sounded quite alike, with minute variations.

I'd just like to point out that Sheriff was NOT fronted by a british lead singer...Freddy Curci is 100% Canadian...He went on to also front Alias...also Glass Tiger's lead singer Alan Frew is not British but rather Scottish...a big difference...

I had to laugh to see a post dedicated to Howard Jones as just this afternoon I caught myself singing "What is Love"...

Not really a difference, but a means of personal identification. A Scottish person is still British, because Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales.
