Subject: Transvision Vamp
I was watching VH1's 80's video show ( the actual name escapes me now) anyway, I saw a video by a band called Transvision Vamp. Just wanted to know if anyone remembers them and if they had any other songs besides "Tell that Girl to Shutup". I don't rememeber them, but the song sounds vaugely familar.

Singles "I Want Your Love" - 1989 and "B With U".

Oh, and don't forget "Born to Be Sold."
;)

'Revolution Baby' was also a great T.V. song.
The lead singer, Wendy James put a solo album out in the early '90s.

How can you all forget my favourite Transvision Vamp song, 'Baby I Don't Care'? That song is a tune!

Wendy James mmmmmm I know I still enjoy listening to the couple tapes I have.I want your love is my fave.

Yeah! Transvision Vamp were very 50s-ish. Always references to 'James Dean and Bobby D' and 'Marilyn Monroe'.
'Baby I don't care' was probably her finest song. Close behind was 'Born to be sold."

Transvision Vamp...there's a name!
Had a couple of good years, then imploded. Always had one hell of a hard time with some sections of the music press, mainly due to the lovely Wendy, who they rapidly earmarked "blonde bimbo", which was altogether unfair...
I think Wendy also done some solo stuff after the band, which sadly, once again, was pulled to bits by the self-same music press...

wendy was sooo hot and with a great voice.
i love when vh1 sends those 2 videos of transvision vamp (baby i don't care/i want your love)
if anyone want to download _LOADS_ of songs from transvision vamp in mp3, try the Kazaa software.
I have the Velveteen vinyl but it's great to have the mp3s readily available. Some i have are:
down on you, pressure times, love me, sex kick, andy warhol's dead, pay the ghosts, hanging out with halo jones, evolution evie (electric version, crash, ain't no rules, if looks could kill, god save the royalties, sex kick, psychosonic cindy, tell that girl to shut up, trash city, falling for a goldmine, you put a spell on me, i just wanna B with u, landslide of love, song to the stars,
and so on :)
