Subject: C'mon, No fans of Streets Of Fire here??
Streets of Fire.... anybody? ??? It starred Diane Lane, Amy Madigan, Daniel Dafoe, Rick Moranis, Michael Pare, Ernie Hudson and Bill Paxton played a really small role, none of them were stars at the moment (some of them never made it....) And the soundtrack rocks, featuring 2 songs by Jim Steinman performed by a band for the movie only called Fire.Inc. A true 80's jewel!! Come out fans!!!! 8)

I love this movie, though it sometimes is a bit 80s-cheesy!
I also love Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young by Fire.Inc.

Despite Michael Pare it was a great movie, lots of fun and excellant sound track. It was cheesy when it came out so it doensn't hurt it that it's cheesy today.

I know I saw it but was to busy smooching in the back seat.I liked Dan Hartman's I can dream about you. ;)

He as terrible, but oddly enough he was in a few good movies. Eddie and the Cruisers and some flick about a modern naval ship going back in time just before Pearl Harbor was to take place.
Hollywood must have caught on cause didn't see much of him towards the last half of the '80s.

It was all about cheesiness, but Tom Cody (Pare) was the man, saved the girl, beat the bad guys and walked away, awesome tunes and cool fights, It was sooo 80's specially when you were like 14 at the time. ::)

Awesome movie. I still watch it sometimes. The bickering scenes with Billy Fish and McCoy are hilarious.

The cool ending with William Defoe coming out in that funky rain-gear looking pants. That was the 1st flick I remember seeing him in, much better actor than Pare.

For some reason, I'm always getting the movies Streets of Fire confused with Eddie and the Cruisers. I know that I've seen them both but can't remember which movie is which? ;D

And you call yourself 80's Trivia? ;)
Eddie and the Cruisers had a Pare as leader of a 60s band, the song "Dark Side" was featured in it. "dark side coming now nothing is real, blah blah blah, shoulda known how I feel."
Eddie mysteriouly dissapears and legend is born.
Streets if Fire is set in a retro-future scene with hot rods and rockabilly music. Pare plays a recent Army vet who gets out and is recruited to rescue his former girlfriend who is now a big pop star. Dafoe is the leader of the bad guys.

I loved both movies. I think I recall something about "Streets of Fire" being boycotted because of the violence or something like that. When I finally saw the movie, I didn't quite understand what all the fuss was about. It was kind of a "good vs bad" plot and (of course) "good" won.

And I'm very picky, but since for me movies are made to entertain, and when I saw this one I was young and easy to impress, and well diane Lane was like sooo coool!!! and also the retro future scenario and the music, my god the music, I could go on and on, Steinman is so 80's, thank y'all who liked it and well if you didn't who cares!! we live in a free world, I fell asleep w/the english patient, an do not even care about tryin' again!! LOL ;D
