What the heck is the name of the girl singing the new tune in the newest Nissan Maxima commercial?? They used to play it during the commecial breaks in I Dream Of Jeannie. HELP!!!

I know one of the new Nissan Maxima commercials features Suzanne Vega Singing "Toms Diner", but that came out in 1987 so it wouldn't have been played on "I dream of Genie"

Rob probably thought the "doo doo doo" in the commercial sounded like the theme to "I Dream of Jeannie."

You may be right on the money, feldy.  The "Dit-dit da-da" in "Tom's Diner" sounds awfully similar to the "I Dream of Jeannie" theme song, and there is actually a "Jeannie" version of "Tom's Diner" on "Tom's Album," which is a compilation of different versions of the song...came out around '90-'91.

thanks you guys! That's it! During the commercials between re-run episodes of I dream of Jeannie, the station (TBS) would make little edited skits with parts of different shows, while playing that song. They did this in the 80's. Sure, the show was way over by then, but who doesn't like Barbara eden  ;)    thanks a bunch--it was driving crazy
