Subject: My Photoshop class...
I don't think I mentioned this on the board yet, though all my friends and co-workers know already.. but I'm taking an Intro to Design class, taught with Adobe Photoshop.. I've kinda taken over the graphic design tasks at my company for the last year, (in addition to my regular job doing Java programming).. so I thought it might be useful to get a graphic design certificate.. useful for doing UI development at the very least..
anyways.. my first project is due this week.. I had to design a set of six stamps with a common theme.. so I of course picked the 80s..
I'm not done yet, three of them have yet to be finished, but I figured I'd share my progress so far..

yeah.. well.. I still have to think of three more backgrounds to use for the remaining stamps.. I was thinking of lace for Madonna, but Phil Collins and Pat Benatar are a little tougher.. especially since the size is so small and the area to display anything behind them isn't that useful either..

Looks good, Chucky.

Very nice work!
Suggestion:
When you bring an image into another (singer to background), it is a good idea when you choose the "lasso" tool to draw around the object, use a 1 or 2 pixel feather so the edges don't look so "ripped" when you bring it in. You can adjust the feather in the "lasso options" window.
Just a suggestion.
good luck,

thanks.. wish I had done that before I did the cut and paste.. I tried to use the feather on the current selections, but it didn't help much.. so I did a small smudge to help soften it a little.. looks a little less jaggy
